Safety Corner

At Ryde Dragon Boat Club safety is our first concern.

There are a few steps we can take to make our training sessions safer and more enjoyable for all. Therefore, it is club policy that PFD's (personal floatation devices) are worn by:

  • Anyone aged 14 years and under
  • Anyone unable to swim 50m fully clothed / or anyone who isn't a confident swimmer
  • All sweeps
  • Anyone sitting on the front of the boat

PFD's are provided by the club if you don't have your own.

Please remember to listen to your sweep at all times, their first responsibility is your safey. This includes when loading/unloading the boats.
